Our training program offers a full mediation training course, a mediation practicum, a new negotiation and facilitation training, and free monthly in-services on mediation-related topics.
Whether you want to become a mediator yourself or simply learn more about collaborative dispute resolution, we can accommodate you at a reasonable cost. Over half of those attending our Mediation Training are not interested in being mediators, but rather want to learn these skills and strategies to apply to their workplace or their personal lives.
There is no degree requirement for mediation training. Our mediators come from all personal and professional backgrounds.
CDR provides a full Mediation Training several times annually beginning in March. This is a 40-hour Washington Mediation Association approved course. The March and October trainings are over two alternate weekends. This training is a prerequisite for entering the Practicum, the next step in becoming a certified mediator.
Trainees who have completed the mediation training course are eligible to begin a mediation practicum.
