CDR News – July

WhitneyStaffThe Center for Dialog & Resolution continues to change and adapt. This summer we said goodbye and congratulations to another of our beloved staff members,Whitney Stafford. Thank you, Whitney, for your dedication, insight, and care of the Center and the people who walk through its doors. Originally from Texas, Whitney Stafford, Business and Operations Manager, brought her knowledge of finance, real estate, and communication to the Center over two years ago. She has been instrumental in the delivery of quality services and creating the peaceful, welcoming environment of the Center! Whitney leaves us to have her second child and enjoy more time with her family. She will, of course, be back to MEDIATE!

Dan BThe Center has also had the chance to bring in staff from our mediator community. Dan Barkley, Mediator & Training Coordinator, comes to the Center after working as a teacher and then a lawyer on behalf of school districts, at-risk youth, and special needs children. Something he is most passionate about is supporting mediators and working with them to develop their skills. “I’ve been a teacher, a coach, and I’ve directed about a dozen plays, so I suppose guiding others’ learning is my most natural skillset,” he says. “I just love talking about how mediation concepts come to life in practice!” When not working at the Center, Dan writes, furiously follows current events, and is a devoted supporter of the Seahawks, Texas Longhorns, and Washington Huskies.
