2016 has already been an exciting year for the Center for Dialog & Resolution. CDR has been recognized and received awards twice! The Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association and Pierce Conservation District presented the Center with the Distinguished Organization Award and the Partner of the Year Award, recognizing the constructive changes made in the legal system and community by mediation and the spread of peaceful conflict resolution skills. CDR actively strives to fulfill its mission by providing innovative, affordable, and cooperative channels to resolve differences and improve relationships through empowering the community-and we don’t do it alone!
A partner and grantor of the Center for Dialog & Resolution, the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF) is committed to “building a vibrant, compassionate, and engaged Pierce County.” Officially established in 1981, GTCF collaborates with individuals, businesses, and other partners to promote philanthropy and connect people in addition to working with nonprofits like the Center. Their vision-to create a thriving, engaged, and caring community-falls directly in line with CDR’s own vision of people in our community choosing respectful, positive, and peaceful ways to resolve differences.
This year, with support from the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, CDR is working on expanding and refining its business process and practices in an effort to provide a better, wider variety of services to the community. The Center for Dialog & Resolution is grateful for the support of the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation and looks forward to partnering with the community to help create an extraordinary future!
