Apply for a Scholarship

Accessible conflict resolution skills for all in Pierce County.

The Basic Mediation Training (BMT) teaches our community the skills necessary to address conflict.

Participants will learn how to hold difficult conversations in a respectful way, especially when people don’t agree.  At the Center for Dialog & Resolution, we believe this training should be available to everyone in our community and that money should not hinder a person from accessing these skills. Basic Mediation Training is the first step on your journey to becoming a certified mediator.

How is our scholarship program funded?

Our donors, who fund the scholarships, are investing in our community. Our shared goal is “more people who know how to resolve conflicts in a productive and nonviolent way, makes a better community”.  Together, we aim for you to focus on practicing your new skills and less about how to pay. Scholarship applicants are invited to pay what they can afford.
