Q: What inspires you to be a Center for Dialog & Resolution Team Member?

A: It’s a catharsis. Learning these skills and contributing to resolving conflicts, the hard way, through listening, reframing, understanding and agreement has helped me to undo a lifetime of doing it the easy way - of imposition of power and force. It contributes to maintaining an internal peace as I work through challenges

Q: How does mediation, group facilitation, and training at the Center for Dialog &

Resolution help people in Pierce County and beyond?

A: By learning, using, and sharing these skills, people learn there’s a better way to resolve their conflicts. It’s scary sometimes, and difficult almost always, but if we have the discussions and learn to understand each other, we mitigate our differences leading to profound improvement in people’s lives

Q: What is your favorite way to spend your free time?

A: I have so many interests and hobbies but the bulk of them result in time spent with my wife, family, and friends.
